  • Urban Tree

The project was based on a simple idea, offer a friendly place in the public and / or private space. The intention of the artist designer is to offer somes areas with a shaded area, a refreshing one, another one to simply take a shower coming out of the sea or a lac, to all users who, to relax, come to dwell a few moments.

    L’artiste, Laurent Ribis

Protean artist, Laurent Ribis worked for over 12 years (including four in the United States) as a decorator artist.

Cause of his experience, he was allowed to exceed its powers and acted on the overall decoration of apartment and townhouses.

The interior design therefore has no secrets for him!

In all cultures the tree symbolizes life, strength, longevity, beauty, fertility. It accompanies the imagination. It symbolizes the man himself. Alain Berland & Gaël Charbau (commissaires d’exposition)

    All Urban Trees

    The Umbrella tree

The tree has a key role in the evolution of man, which after reaching the stand up station was able to pick up fruit, find shelter in its branches for protection from weather or sunlight and heat. It is easy to imagine the numbers of people walking in borders sea or lakes, landscaped areas, taking a shady break to enjoy the view and relax for a moment. Sitting on benches under large umbrellas, they can also read a book, or even lie down, or eat.

    The Mist Tree

With the repetition of heat waves every year and according to scientific recommendations, it becomes necessary to provide a public space hydration, functional and esthetic. The mist refreshes and especially to maintain a certain humidity. The issuance of this mist lowers the temperature gradually, not brutal. In fact, this development is needed for a sensitive public identified as the elderly, children ….

    The Sculpture Tree

Because the configuration of certain places, because of their situation and the nature of the soil is not always possible to implant trees. The Tree sculpture can partly address this problem in the future with a walker poetic and evocative esthetic object. This contemporary design reminiscent of a tree silhouette, help integrate the space in memory of the city and look to its future. Metaphorical silhouettes of Laurent Ribis then take on the appearance of trees bearing branches of life.

    Options to come

    The Shower Tree

This is when I walk along the French coast, Mediterranean and Atlantic I’ve noticed how the supply of street furniture for use as shower was not very rich. The edges of the seas, making it difficult to tree planting, I wanted to address two issues in one response. Provide a space for rinsing, to the beaches of the seaside or nautical bases, while providing the illusion of tree silhouette, to preserve the esthetics of a coast or a lake. Beachfront, in existing or future public pools, a water sports on the lake front, or implanted around some private pool. The Tree shower, has its place in these urban or private landscapes.

    The Lampost Tree

Artificial light is contemporary with the early days of humanity, because it is obviously that from the beginning, men have sought to extend their work beyond the time they have been granted by the light of sun. Their work, but also their leisure. Because the evenings and summer nights are often the opportunity to walk “to the fresh,” as they say in Provence. This is a secure space with its light I suggest installing to come palaver for a moment. Alone or landscaped, The Tree propose to features highlight a walk, an avenue, a public park or a plaza with benches.

    Periplus

Periplus, from the Latin navigate around. Periplus is an invitation to travel. From home, Sailing Journey offers us a different way to brighten our great escapes. Monumental work, may also expose the Periplus between land and sea flirting with backgrounds lines as a tall ship taking off … It can be divided into different sizes. For large space (lofts, duplexes etc. ..), it will become lamppost. For more confined spaces it can become lamp room to put on a console or cabinet, or desk.
